SPECIAL PROGRAM

Since 1996, Sir ReadAlot has performed over 500 hours of public marathon readings. In 2002, he developed a monthly marathon reading series called Sir ReadAlot’s Quest for the Guinness World Record to challenge the current Guinness record for Continuous Reading Aloud of 110 hours and 46 minutes. In December of 2002, he read for 96 hours straight.

Sir ReadAlot is now looking for an organization to host and sponsor an official attempt of 120 hours. This would involve the following:

  • Secure a site open to the public around the clock for the five, 24 hour day reading.

  • Raise and co-ordinate volunteers to document the reading. Guinness requires three individuals (one Host, two Witnesses) for each four hour shift throughout the duration of the reading.

  • Hire nurses through a Temp Service. Guinness requires one qualified medical personnel for each four hour shift.

If you are interested in hosting and sponsoring this event, please contact Sir ReadAlot.
